Temp Control, Variable Wattage: Learn the Terms to Make the Most of Your Quitting Smoking Experience.

Cigarette smokers want to quit. According to the CDC, “nearly 7 out of every 10 (68.0%) reported in 2015 that they wanted to quit completely [,and] Since 2002, the number of former smokers has been greater than the number of current smokers.”

Considering all the health, financial, and public benefits to quitting smoking, that’s good news. But, everyone who wants to quit doesn’t make it. Smokers use medications, behavioral therapy, exercise, and support groups. But, many still have trouble quitting the addiction to nicotine.

Learn the Terms to Make the Most of Your Quitting Smoking Experience.

The American Lung Association is quick to point out, “There are approximately 600 ingredients in cigarettes. When burned, they create more than 7,000 chemicals. At least 69 of these chemicals are known to cause cancer, and many are poisonous.”

In the U.K., National Health Services list some real concerns:

  • The number of people setting a quit date through NHS Stop Smoking Services dropped 15%.
  • The number of people who successfully quit (self-reported) also fell for the fourth consecutive year to 195,170 (-15%).

Vaping provides a means to quit for many smokers. Because it imitates the smoking experience, vaping with e-cigs or box mods satisfies the oral fixation involved with the addiction. Because you can control the nicotine content, you can wean off the dependence. Or, because you can use e-liquids with zero nicotine, you can stop tobacco smoking to reduce the harm while continuing some of the behavior.

Temp Control: A box mod heats up a metal coil. The different metals resist heating, and a temp control reports the temperature and resistance for two reasons:

  1. You need to know the best vaping temperature.
  2. You want to avoid the safety risk of overheating.

You set the Temp Control to the temperature you want, and the box mod delivers the power it needs to hit that mark. You set the temp in units of 5° or 10° towards a range of 392°F to 480° F (200°C to 250°C).

Your Temp Control anticipates changes in temperature helping you eliminate dry hits. So, you should shop for box mods with the Temp Control feature and ask the seller about its TCR, its temperature coefficient of resistance.

Variable Wattage: Experienced vaping customers look for Variable Wattage because its power flow controls the flavor impact. If you combine low resistance with higher voltage, you get more vapor. But, high voltage will likely burn out and reduce the life of the vaporizer.

OnVaping.com compares variable wattage and variable voltage. “VW settings like they’re cruise control settings. Instead of manually adjusting the gas pedal (volts) every time you encounter a hill, you set your cruise control to the speed (watts) you want once. Then, the car automatically calculates how much the gas pedal should be pressed for different inclines (more ohms), or declines (less ohms), in the terrain in order to maintain your desired speed.”

The call is yours!

Vaping can help you make the most of your quitting smoking experience.  So, if you’re in the market for sleek, modern, design, and feature heavy box mods, you’ll want to select those with Temp Control and Variable Wattage.
