Five Ways to Eat the Ecological Way

You can eat healthily and save the environment at the same time. Eating habits play a significant role in taking care of the environment. Today many nutritionists have found a connection between the environment and what we eat. What is good for the environment is also suitable for consumption. Below are some ways to contribute to the health and longevity of the environment while we eat.

Reduce Your Fish and Meat Intake

Avoid eating some fish species that are endangered. Eat an amount of meat that you can finish, but in case of leftovers you can donate them or try to compost them for your garden or that of the community. Compost meat makes good fertiliser. If possible cut back on your meat and dairy intake. Grass-fed animals’ meat is good for the environment and suitable for consumption. You can also turn leftovers into another new meal or smoothies (for vegetables and fruit leftovers). Being a vegetarian is also another option. Vegetables are delicious when cooked right.

Buy Products with Minimal or No Packaging

Try buying meat from the butchery or unwrapped produce from the deli.
